Today we will learn about whether "for"  is a conjunction or not.Let me remind you that a conjunction can join two clauses.

Explanation:

●Clause +Conjunction+ Clause.

●Clause=Sub.+Verb+Extension

●He found it very hard to read,for his eyes were failing.

Here,First clause=He found it very hard to read.

Second Clause=his eyes were failing.

For=Conjunction=Because(meaning)

Since "for" is connecting two clauses,that is why the word "for" is a conjunction here.
