Is Which a Linking Verb?

Hello everyone, today I will discuss whether the word "which"is a linking verb or not.

Is Which a Linking Verb?

A linking verb is that type of verb that doesn't express action.Besides,a linking verb function like a  equal sign.

●He is a student.

Here,He=a student


Here "is" is a linking verb because it is expressing the alternative introduction of he by a student phrase.






Now look at the following example:

●The school,which was built in 2012,is amazing.





Explanation:

In the above example,the word "which" is not a verb.You can say that here "which" is a pronoun because it is indicating the noun school. Actually,we cannot use which as a verb but we can use which as a pronoun and determiner.So,the word "which" is not a linking verb

Now look at the following example.



●I can't remember which pen I had.

Explanation:
Here the word "which" is a determiner which is special kind of adjective.




Conclusion:
