In this post, I will show you an example of an adverb.


◆Look at the following example.


●He is  intelligent.

●Sentence Structure:Sub.+Be +Adjective.


●He is  very  intelligent.


💝Sentence Structure:Sub.+Be +Adverb+Adjective.


●He is  very  intelligent.

Here the word "very"is functioning  as an adverb because it is modifying the adjective intelligent.

So,the example of an adverb is  very.

Remember that an adverb can modify another adverb.Also,an adverb can modify an adjective.


Sentence Structure:Sub.+Be +Adverb+Adverb+Adjective


=He goes to school very slowly.

Here the adverbs are very and slowly.



●What is an example of an adverb in a sentence?


Answer:
He went to school slowly.

Here the word slowly is an adverb that is modifying the verb "went"

How went?----Slowly

So Slowly is an example of an adverb in a sentence.
