 In this post ,I am going to show you an example of a conjunction in a sentence.So,look at the following sentence.


◆I will buy some books and pens.

Analysis:
Here the word "and" is an example of a conjunction because it is connecting two words-some books and pens.Remember that a conjunction can connect two words,two phrases or two clauses.



◆He was absent in the meeting because he was ill.


Analysis:

Here the word "because" is an example of a conjunction because it is connecting two clauses.


First clause=He was absent in the meeting.

Second Clause=he was ill.

As the word "because"is satisfying the conditions to be a conjunction,it is a conjunction.

Remember that a conjunction can connect two words,two phrases or two clauses.
